ParenteBeard Promotes John Swirsding to Partner

ParenteBeard announced the promotion of John Swirsding as a partner in the firm’s audit and accounting group.  Mr. Swirsding, the firm’s XBRL practice leader, is based in the firm’s Philadelphia office.

With more than 16 years of public accounting experience, including 13 years with a Big Four public accounting firm, Mr. Swirsding is a highly experienced advisor to SEC registrants and privately held companies in the greater Philadelphia region. His client service expertise is primarily in the private equity and manufacturing, distribution and technology industries.

Founded by Mr. Swirsding in 2010, ParenteBeard’s XBRL practice line offers a value-added, SEC registrant focused solution to the SEC’s Interactive Data (XBRL) mandate.  He regularly conducts seminars and workshops on numerous XBRL accounting and reporting issues.   Additionally, Mr. Swirsding has extensive expertise in coordinating multi-location engagements, and in assisting his clients with adoption of new accounting and auditing standards.  He has worked with both smaller reporting companies and large SEC filers, and has extensive SEC reporting and other public company filing experience as well as experience with debt and equity offerings and IPOs.
