ParenteBeard Announces New Roles for Two Firm Partners - David Capitano and John Nealon

ParenteBeard announced September 1 that David Capitano, CPA, is the firm’s director of accounting and auditing, a newly created position.

John Nealon, ParenteBeard’s small business practice leader, is now taking on the additional role as Northern PA regional managing partner, which was Mr. Capitano’s previous role.

“Dave and John bring substantial experience and a track record of exceptional leadership to their new roles,” stated Chairman and CEO Bob Ciaruffoli.  “As two of the firm’s most admired leaders, each is highly regarded for his stellar reputation.”

Mr. Capitano has more than two decades of experience in accounting, auditing and consulting.  Reflecting his previous role as public sector practice leader, he has focused his career on serving education and nonprofit entities.   In his new position, Mr. Capitano will be responsible for embracing ParenteBeard’s strategic vision, particularly through the creation of consistent business plans in every industry group, to operationalize our accounting and auditing resources.  He will also drive business development initiatives and the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the firm’s accounting and auditing practice.

John Nealon, CPA

Mr. Nealon has been a member of ParenteBeard for more than 27 years.  In addition to Mr. Nealon’s client responsibilities in a diverse range of industries as small business practice leader, he is highly regarded for his strong community involvement.   John’s comprehensive knowledge of the needs of the Northern PA marketplace will be invaluable in his new role.
