ParenteBeard’s Laura Lewis Instructor for Penn State Beaver CPA Continuing Professional Education Course

ParenteBeard’s Laura Lewis, manager in the firm’s forensic, litigation and valuation services group, is an instructor for a forensic accounting course that is part of Penn State Beaver CPA continuing professional education (CPE) fall 2014 program. Ms. Lewis’s courses will be held Tuesday, October 7, 2014, at Penn State Beaver in Monaca, PA, and Thursday, October 9, 2014, at the Regional Learning Alliance in Cranberry, PA, 6 to 9 p.m.

The introductory course is suited for accountants who need to use financial evidence in their practice or who are thinking of working as an accounting expert or consultant. Her presentation will provide an overview of financial evidence and will explore how that evidence may be used in damage calculations, business valuations, matrimonial disputes and financial investigations.

A member of the firm’s forensic, litigation and valuation services team for over two years, Ms. Lewis is a certified public accountant and certified forensic accountant specializing in litigation support. She holds a bachelor’s degree from New Mexico State University and a master’s degree from California University of Pennsylvania. Ms. Lewis is a member of the American College of Forensic Examiners Institute.
